Cheryl brings more than 20 years of office experience to her role at Covenant. She started with college in Radio/TV broadcasting and left to work as an assistant to the VP in a marketing and advertising firm. She also received a certificate as a Personal Support Worker and worked in a nursing home taking care of seniors. Since then she has used her skills to hold a variety of jobs from being a computer operator, receptionist/administrative assistant, secretary and bookkeeper. Through the years her employers have consisted of teachers, engineers, pastors and financial advisors.
Cheryl loves being involved in church ministries and has volunteered as a junior youth leader, women’s ministry leader, as well as pianist for both youth and German choirs. Since moving to British Columbia in 2014, she has assisted with costumes for church productions, and has been able to offer her organizational skills as her church’s library coordinator.
When Cheryl is not at work and the weather is nice, you just may see her and her husband Burk, riding tandem on their bike, or hiking on BC’s fabulous trails. She also loves to knit, curl up with a good book and entertain friends over a meal and a fun game. Cheryl is always up for a challenge and has hiked the Alps, the Rockies and just recently obtained her scooter license. She is a mother of four and adores being called “grand-maman” by her four little darling grand-children.
